5 DAYS TRAINING CAMP ON CIVIL DEFENCE

Webdesk, TNI Cooch Behar, 27th July, 2015: A 5 days civil defense training camp has been organized at Okrabari Alabakash High School, Dinhata of Cooch Behar District. The initiative has been taken by the N.S.S. Unit and all those who got help from ‘Kanyashree Prakalpa’ are attending the camp. Altogether 100 girl students have participated till now. The camp started yesterday and will end on 31/07/2015. In the inauguration ceremony Debjani Bhattacharya, Additional District Magistrate (Development); Aniruddha Roy, BDMO; Biswanath Deb, Head Master of Okrabari Alabakash High School; Bakul Islam, NSS Programme Officer of the school cum Nodal Officer of ‘Kanyashree Prakalpa’ and eminent social worker Bhabani Shankar Agarwal were present. All the speakers emphasized the importance of this kind of camp. They pointed out that along with the financial independence it is also important to have the training of self defence to become self dependent. Additional District Magistrate said that several other training will be also organised by district administration to ensure self dependency.
